It seems like Roadhog is receiving an “soft rework” in Overwatch 2 to improve the game’s 5v5 combat. This information is via Alec Dawson, lead hero designer of Overwatch 2, who confirmed that Roadhog will get an “mild overhaul” in mid-to-late January.

According to Dawson The modifications to Roadhog will also include a nerfing of the hero’s ability to one-shot. It’s not clear the way Roadhog will be rebuilt to become an improved 5v5 tank however, it is believed that he might be granted the ability to help the entire team not just himself.

While there were some unhappy players in the wake of the news, a lot of fans were happy to see that the hook of Roadhog and the one-hit combo will be an end. It’s important to note that the Roadhog overhaul is expected to come with an upgrade of Junker Queen.
