NieR: Automata Review

NieR Automata A New Beginning YoRHa Edition is still magnificent on Switch However, an improvement in graphics is apparent.

NieR: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition

Is compatible with Nintendo Switch. It’s the same game that’s landed on many platforms through the years and there’s not much to say about the story’s clever design, or the complexities of its disparate systems when they mix to rewrite the boundaries of genre. The Switch version in particular seems as if it’s targeted at the same audience – returning players who don’t like sitting in an office chair or couch when playing – and for this particular demographic, it is the most polished game version to date. NieR Automata that we’ve seen.

For a quick overview, NieR: Automata is a game developed by Platinum Games and released through Square Enix that sees game director Yoko Taro at his best at his most. The story follows androids through an era of post-apocalypse which has seen humanity almost eliminated by the machine-like lifeforms. The androids are the enduring armies of humanity trying to save our planet from the grasp of machines. Of obviously it’s an Yoko Taro game and the premise is quickly put aside to give a more detailed examination of humankind, the history, the environment and so on.

To claim it’s NieR:

Automata’s gameplay is diverse is an understatement. the End of YoRHa edition includes the entire set of story beats, modes levels, bosses, and levels that make up the game’s experience. The majority of the game is an 3D action-RPG. However, there’s also side-scrolling, platforming, bullet hell shooting hacking mini-games and much more. The wildly diverse elements blend seamlessly into a world which is both empty as well as eager to share all it’s secrets for the user. One of the advantages of NieR Automata is its aesthetics and how it moves seamlessly between an offbeat humor about fishing and an introspective of five minutes about emotional pitfalls (mid-boss fights, of course).

It’s in the game where the biggest drop-offs are evident within the game’s final on the Nintendo Switch. Although there’s nothing that really isn’t working with the transfer to Nintendo’s handheld however there are some issues. Particularly fast-paced combat may swerve 30 frames per second, while 30fps and lower resolution mean that the game looks a lot more pixelated on Switch than anywhere elsewhere. If you’re playing a game like NieR Automata which has some stunning visuals that are based on scope and intricate detail this is an issue that needs to be addressed.

However, it’s crucial to think about who this game will appeal to. If you’ve played NieR Automata on a more attractive platform, The End of YoRHa Edition on the Switch is probably the most enjoyable edition of the game with pitfalls and the entire. Lacking the visual quality to fully experience the vast world that is NieR is not an issue the second (or third even 4th) time around and the portability on the Switch will be a big draw for gamers who wish to dive again into NieR without having to commit to hours of play on the couch or at the desk.

This leaves NieR: Automata

The End of YoRHa Edition on the Nintendo Switch in an interesting place. It’s the most dreadful edition that the game has (now it’s been revealed that NieR: Automata on PC is better) version on PC of NieR Automata is superior) and also the most popular depending on the target audience. It’s a matter of personal preference whether you prefer visual quality or accessibility? At the root of it all is the way players would like to participate in one of the top game on the market in the last decade. There’s no bad choice however it’s definitely valued that there’s plenty of options.

Conclusion: NieR Automata

The end of YoRHa Edition will be now available for the Nintendo Switch. Screen Rant was provided with an online Switch code to facilitate the purposes in this evaluation.
