Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon was fined and suspended for physical contact with fans during a game in the league against Oakland Athletics, MLB announced. MLB has announced that Anthony Rendon was banned from five games, and was fined an amount that is not known. Sources have since informed USA Today, MLB.com, and ESPN that MLB along with the MLB Players Association negotiated and reduced the suspension of Rendon from five to four games.

The video seemed to appear to Rendon wearing the fan’s jersey within the crowd. Rendon was the MLB star shouts “What is your opinion? You called me”a ****, yes I did your mother F *****.”

The fan insisted that there wasn’t any verbal abuse, even although the reaction wasn’t an ideal one. It was a negative one by Rendon as well as he’s now banned for indiscreet conduct.

“It hurt,” Rendon declared on Monday as he dealt with the matter. “My emotions took to me. I’m generally pretty good at engaging with my people … Have fun doing it. The gentleman and I] spoke over the phone and both apologized for what occurred. So, we’re both willing to move on.”

The suspension will be enforced immediately.

The incident took place shortly following the Angels losing their first-day match against Oakland Athletics Oakland Athletics earlier in the prior Thursday evening at Oakland, Calif.

Rendon was walking in the dugout as he walked to the tunnel that leads to the clubhouse. He spotted an intersection on the way. The man turned back towards his seats and grabbed a man wearing a shirt. The man then had a an exchange of words with the man. He turned his back to him and swung his hands at the man. However, he did not strike a deal.

Rendon was later removed from the scene. The video footage of this incident was posted through social media.

“It hurt,” Rendon spoke to reporters just before the Angels played the Seattle Mariners today in Seattle.

“My emotions took over me. I’m generally pretty good at communicating with the people I love. … The two of us talked via phone and both expressed our regrets for what occurred. So, we’re both prepared to move on.”

The veteran’s infielder hit three-for-three in the loss on the first day. He’s 0-6 on his plate in eight appearances over two games during the season. Rendon signed a seven-year, $245 million contract with the Angels in the year 2019. The average annual salary to Rendon will be $38.5 million. This will last until 2026.

Rendon played in one game during the suspension he received on Monday evening. It was a game played by the Angels (3-1) are scheduled to take on the Seattle Mariners (1-4) beginning at 9:15 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, in Seattle.

SEATTLE (AP) SEATTLE (AP) SEATTLE (AP) SEATTLE (AP) Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon says he is going to appeal his suspension after the suspension being reduced to just four games instead of the original four games to four by Major League Baseball for his incident with a fan earlier week.

Rendon spoke briefly prior to when the Angels started their game in Seattle the night prior. Rendon said that MLB had reached an agreement that he be banned for five or four matches. Initial suspensions of 5 games were handed down by MLB senior vice president Michael Hill earlier Monday and the appeal filed by Rendon was accepted immediately.

Rendon’s suspension begins in the Monday game, and it will continue throughout the game against Seattle.

“It sucks. My emotions took to the top of me. I’m pretty good at talking to fans. Always want to chirp at them and kind of having fun doing this,” Rendon stated in his initial comments on the incident.

Rendon has been seen grasping an individual fan with their shirt through the bleacher’s guardrails, following Thursday night’s loss by 2-1 to Oakland. Rendon seems to have grabbed the fan’s shirt and placed it on his chest using the bars of the railing and engaged in conversation with the fan, after which he snuck an ad-lib onto on the inside of the fan’s ballcap, before stepping to the tunnel.

A video of the man, dressed in the colors of A’s and walking towards the railing as Rendon turns towards the tunnel from beneath. Rendon is seen taking the shirt off and inquires what he was saying earlier, and says that the fan has called him a sexist term before slapping his cap.

Rendon said he’d spoke to the fan over the phone earlier in the morning on Monday.

“We each apologized to the other for the incident. We’re both eager to move on,” Rendon stated.

Rendon was initially listed as a player who would play with the Angels on Monday night but he then chose to suspend his contract as the suspension was shortened. Rendon will also be absent from his first game of the season at home, against Toronto. Angels begin their season with the opening game is at home in the match against Toronto.

Luis Rengifo moved into the starting lineup Luis Rengifo was promoted to the starting lineup, and Gio Urshela was moved to third base with Rendon being pushed out.

“He’s an excellent leader for our team. He’s accepted the responsibility that an excellent leader and as a an individual should and we have moved beyond the situation,” Angels manager Phil Nevin told the team.
