In fact, Australian researchers have developed a camera lens that detects skin cancer with nanotechnology. Along with this, Indian researchers have prepared such a bandage, by which skin cancer can be eradicated at the initial stage itself.
Researchers at the University of Melbourne have told that this camera lens takes a detailed photo of a birth mark or any kind of mark made on the skin. Skin cancer can be detected by examining biological cells through these pictures. To detect any kind of disease, examination of biological cells through optical microscope is most important. But these cells are not easily visible. Some parts of these cells are invisible, to see them the phase imaging process is used.
Now this is how the test is done: Through phase imaging, the light passing through the cells is examined intensively. Till now heavy and expensive equipments were being used for this process. Now this process has been changed through nanotechnology. For this, a nanometer has been made, which is very thin and looks like a lens.
The major cause of skin cancer is ultraviolet rays emanating from the sun. There are two types of this cancer. This includes melanoma and non-melanoma. According to an international agency, in 2020, 3.25 lakh new patients of skin cancer appeared worldwide and 5700 people died.

The Indian Institute of Science has developed a bandage that kills skin cancer in its early stages. This strip prepared from magnetic nanofiber can kill skin cancer cells by giving heat. It contains oxidized nanoparticles of iron and biodegradable polymers, which have been applied on a type of surgical tape. When this tape receives a magnetic field, the material present in it together gives heat and works to destroy cancer cells.
