Russia Ready For Dialogue On Cybersecurity

Moscow is ready for the possibility of a dialogue about security with Washington but without concessions from Russia, Andrei Krutskikh, the special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin for international cooperation in the area of cybersecurity, said to Sputnik.

“We are open to dialogue and we’re always up to engage in it, however we won’t be begging and asking to have it, especially on the conditions of concessions from our side.

.. It must be a sincere, serious and practical dialogue that is guided by a common desire for the preservation of the earth,” Krutskikh said.

Krutskikh stated that there aren’t any signs emanating from Washington on cybersecurity discussions yet.

Then, in the month of May, Russian Security Council Deputy Secretary Oleg Khramov announced that in May, the US unilaterally ended all interactions in the region with Russia as well as was unable to discuss cybersecurity issues because Washington did not appear prepared to collaborate to establish the world’s first cybersecurity system.
