Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is out now
The MCU is currently in its 15th year and in that time, it has seen an incredible number of web series, television shows and one-shots. The universe has grown in dimensions, and for the most avid Marvel fans, it’s a huge task to watch all the shows and keep your eyes in the right direction.
We’ve created a chronological timeline of Marvel films, shows, and more, so that you can determine which order to take a look at the Marvel films and shows in the order they were released, and which sequences they can fit in with. Or, if you’d like to go through them in the order in which they were released out and released, we’ve made the release date list for all the films and shows.
Marvel has also published their own timeline of the films in the publication Marvel Studios The Initial Ten Years that does best to list specific dates for when the different films are made (up to however, not including Captain Marvel & Avengers: Endgame):

How do I watch the Marvel films and TV shows in chronological order
There are two warnings in our list below. The timeline becomes more complicated as it progresses and it becomes more difficult to arrange the films in a perfect order. For instance, Doctor Strange begins just prior to Captain America: Civil War and is a time jump that closes right after in the same way, while Black Panther kicks off shortly after Civil War, but the entire plot is likely to play out prior to the main part in Doctor Strange.
It’s no wonder that Marvel has broken their own time line. There are some minor inconsistent statements all over the place and the most shocking is Spider-Man: Homecoming, which claims to be taking place eight years following The Snap of New York attack in the first Avengers. The film is set in 2020, which is about two or three years following Avengers: Infinity War, which Marvel itself says is was made in 2017 despite the fact that there is plenty of evidence that suggests the Snap was actually taking place in April of the year 2018.
It’s not a huge error in the grand scheme of everything, however it’s an important warning not to take the timeline of the MCU’s chronological nature to seriously. Even Marvel itself has trouble keeping things straight, so long as you’re watching the movies in roughly the correct sequence, you’ll be fine.

Disney+ also has its own timeline schedule. We have utilized this to inform series in phase four. Section Four since some of the titles on the list clash with previous versions that came from Marvel Studios. For instance, it says the fact that Thor: The Dark World is set to take place prior to Iron Man 3, which could place this movie in 2013 instead of 2012, as previously reported by sources.
We’ve broken everything down into Marvel’s “phases”, however there are certain grey regions: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was produced during Phase Three, but is scheduled almost immediately following its predecessor. Captain Marvel was one of the last Phase Three films, but is pre-dated by the majority in Phase One, and some of the TV shows fit awkwardly in between the various film phases.
Additionally, even though Marvel states they believe that Spider-Man: Far From Home is the final movie in Phase Three, it will take place following the two previous Disney+ shows – so we’ve changed the order of events to account for this.

You can view most of the movies and TV shows by joining Disney Plus, with the exclusion from the Spider-Man movies and a handful of other shows – these are marked by an asterisk. How do I watch the Marvel TV and film series in release date place an order
If you’d rather watch the series and films in the sequence in the order they were released, this is more straightforward. For the TV show we’ve provided the date of the day that the first episode was broadcast to when the first episode took place and the duration of it lasted on air.

The dates are determined by what Marvel has announced previously however, the content could possibly change. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Disney could be cutting back its content offerings and that the sole two TV shows that have been confirmed that will air in 2023 are Secret Invasion and Loki season 2. But this hasn’t been confirmed.
