Twitter now offers a new Edit Tweet feature
Follow these steps to edit your tweet on the Bird app if you’re a Twitter Blue user who resides in Canada, New Zealand or Australia.
- First, choose the tweet you wish to edit.
- Next, tap the three dots in the right-hand corner of the Tweet.
- Here you’ll find the Edit option, along with several other options.
- You will be redirected back to the Edit Tweet interface when you click on the Edit option.
- Do the things you need to change.
- After editing your tweet, click on the done button and share it with your friends.
This time, a condition is required! You can only edit your tweet within 30 minutes after it was sent. After the 30 minute mark on the platform, the tweet becomes permanent. You will no longer be able edit it.
Edited and normal tweets will also have a slight distinction. The edited tweet will have a pencil sign at the top, which is not the case with normal Tweets.
Although it’s a good thing that Twitter finally has this feature, there are several conditions that it shouldn’t.
It is only available to Twitter users from certain countries. It is not available to Twitter Blue Users. Third, you cannot edit a tweet within 30 minutes of its publication.
