Cryolipolysis help you achieve fitness goals

Many people are unaware of cryolipolysis, also called fat freezing, because it’s a new procedure. Initial treatments began to be offered to 2010 within the US following extensive research at Harvard medical.

The term “fat freezing” is pretty straightforward. It is the act of freezing an part of the body to temperatures ranging from -4 to 10 degrees for an indefinite period typically between 30 and 45 mins. In this period, the Adipose (fat) cells in the area begin to crystalize. This then initiates the process of death of cells. As fat cells begin breaking down, the naturally occurring processes in the body begin to take over and over time, remove the damaged portions that comprise the cell. Other cells, for instance, neurons, skin cells, and blood cells are more durable and remain in good condition. To ensure that the surface of the skin isn’t damaged, an antifreeze membrane is placed on the skin.

Fat freezing is thought to be an extremely effective treatment practiced all over the world with many patients reporting incredible results. It does take some time for results to begin to show. If the results of liposuction show immediate, results from fat freezing aren’t visible for months, and sometimes weeks. It is also important to remember that the effects of freezing fat are reduced in the event that the patient doesn’t keep or reduce the wait. If the patient weighs more while the fat cells are eliminated by the body it is likely that they will gain fat at the same time.

One treatment for a single region will eliminate 30-40 percent of body fat. If the area is large it is possible that multiple treatments are needed. It is also important to remember treatments are restricted in terms of size due to applicator size. They typically measure around 25 centimeters long and 20cm wide. For patients with larger amounts, that means that 4 or more applicators will be required for treating the stomach region. Because the price will be calculated by applicator, the costs can quickly mount up.

The procedure is considered non-invasive and secure. There is no downtime following the procedure, and patients is able to resume their normal routines immediately. There is often bruising, there may be a tightness in the area or something that feels like it is numb and hard. Bruising can last days, even weeks.

If you’re thinking about having a tummy-tuck or liposuction, it’s worth giving freezing fat an attempt first. There are no marks, there will be no downtime, and the procedure is less expensive and more secure.
