Scientists have discovered the oldest case of cancer ever. This happened about 1.8 Million years ago due to the formation of a tumor in the leg bone of a human being. Archaeologists discovered this bone in the swartcorse cave in South Africa. This study was published in the South African Journal of Science.
The researchers of the study did said that the fossilized scans of the toe bone were compared to modern cases of osteosarcoma. Osteosarcoma is a type of cancer that originates in the cells that make up the bone. He told that many similarities have been seen in both. Researchers took the help of 3D imaging methods for the study. It was through this that the condition of the oldest case of cancer was prepared.
Two species of bacteria were studied.
Christina and her colleagues examined the teeth of 12 Neanderthal humans. Studied their bacteria and micro-organisms. After this, Christina sequencing 1000 crore DNA fragments. After this the study was done on the species of bacteria. These were Chlorobium genes which were found in the teeth of humans about 1.26 lakh to 1.10 lakh ago. They told that ancient human bacteria are now available in the mouth. Therefore, with the help of ancient bacteria, antibiotics can be used to prevent human diseases.
Risk of rotting of organs and skin
According to the American Cancer Society, osteosarcoma, a tumor found in swartcorse Cave, is often seen in young people. The investigation said that this is the oldest case of cancer found inside the bone. Due to this, the risk of rotting of organs and skin is high. so it becomes very dangerous.
Neanderthal humans were on earth one million years ago
They said that Neanderthal humans were the closest ancient relative of humans. They lived on earth about 1 lakh years ago. Generally their presence was maximum in Europe and Africa. These humans lived in caves and domesticated animals.
Antibiotic medicine will be made from ancestors’ tooth
Before Homo sapiens, humans were called Neanderthal humans. Now scientists are making antibiotics with the help of bacteria hidden in the teeth of Neanderthal humans.This has been disclosed in a report published in Science Zone. These bacteria hide in the cavities of the teeth.
Howard University biomolecular archeologist Christina Veriner did said that we would prepare an antibiotic from bacteria present in the teeth of Neanderthal humans. They had become fossilized in the living state of that said, due to which the bacteria present in it could not be destroyed.
