Los Angeles – Stars of the highly anticipated sequel to the Marvel film “Black Panther” took to on the red carpet of Hollywood this Wednesday evening to attend the “Wakanda Forever” world premiere, but the one star was who was greatly left out the tragic Co-star Chadwick Boseman.

The actor who played the role of King T’Challa in the film’s original version in 2018 was killed in 2020 following a four-year fight of colon cancer, which he kept secret. He was 43.

“It was certainly difficult to return to the place you hold such a special place in your heart and feel so close to T’Challa, and so attached to Chad,” actress Letitia Wright who plays T’Challa’s older sister Princess Shuri stated.

“But we needed to be strong, continue to tell the story and it was emotional at moments. The story isn’t over an emotional story, but one that were able to come together, that we put our efforts into. We made him proud.”

The sequel was already in development before Boseman passed away.

“I was terrified because I could not imagine being able to move forward in my life without Chadwick,” said Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o who is back in her role as T’Challa’s ex-love Nakia.

“But the moment Ryan Coogler, our director and writer, guided me through his concept to continue the narrative, I took at ease because what he did was integrated the loss into the narrative,” Nyong’o said. “And to be honest, as a person, and also as actors, I don’t need to pretend that I had never experienced such an emotional loss, or such sorrow. This is a huge the most of it.”

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” sees the main characters working again alongside the Dora Milaje, an elite group of female warriors in their fight to defend their nation after the death of the King.

The film sees actors Angela Bassett and Danai Gurira reprise their roles as T’Challa’s mother Ramonda and Dora Milaje head Okoye respectively, and the debut of Michaela Coel in the role of Aneka the Dora Milaje fighter.

The film will begin its worldwide cinema roll-out on November. 9.
