I remember vividly of my mom wearing the classic Levi’s jeans (501s specifically) Stonewashed, high-waisted with a button fly and loose tapered legs with iconic dense denim during my early years to garden or take the dog for an adventure in the mud. They were the’mom jeans prior to the time that mom jeans were the norm.
When I was in adolescence as replicating Kate Moss and Sienna Miller in their super-skinny Sass & Bide ‘Misfits’ (remember them?) was my objective, I would tease her about how outdated her light Levi’s were. “They’ll return in the future I’d tell her just like every mother does.
They did. Her single pair of worn Levi’s makes me look the old one. I own 24 pairs jeans and each one is slim.
After many years of high-end fashion it’s now the former bedridden denim rock star and is clinging to life while its younger, more stylish models take over the spotlight. Yes, Kate Moss is still wearing them at times however they’re Kate Moss and I, regrettably, am not.
What was once my reliable outfit, the one that was the base of every look I put on, is now making me feel unflattering and overexposed. Whatever I wear these outfits with, their proportions seem off.

How do you wear these trousers? Try smartening your denim cargo pants (since they can be read as ultra-casual) by adding more sophisticated elements. You can also take a slouch (like Gigi Hadid does here) and then go for a complete lean.
