According to a survey conducted at the Yale CEO Summit, 42 executives (CEOs) believe that AI can eliminate humanity within the next five to 10 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey polled responses from 119 CEOs representing a variety of industries. It revealed a lack of consensus about the risks and opportunities associated with AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Differing Opinions: According to the survey, 34 percent of CEOs opined that AI could be disruptive within a decade. Eight percent believed this could happen within five years, while 58 percent of CEOs said they were not worried such a scenario would ever happen. Similarly, the survey argued that concerns about the sinister potential of AI were overstated, while 58 percent believed they were not overstated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More impact on these industries: Due to AI, changes are already being seen in many industries. AI-related tools can have a greater impact on healthcare and 48% of CEOs believe the same. In addition, 35% thought professional services and IT would have a higher impact. 11% CEOs said media, digital industry will be impacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion: Threatened with extinction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The new surveyreport comes at a time when many AI industry leaders, academics and public figures are constantly touting the ill effects of AI. Many people believe that with the development of AI, the danger of extinction can also arise.
