Oh, the pleasures of being a model! There are all those fashion-forward clothes and hordes of faithful fans, gorgeous holidays, red-carpet occasions… In addition, not to mention walking around wearing that look every day. As if that weren’t enough, it appears that Brazilian Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has also added the notion of aged backwards in this mix, as if her recent pictures can be believed to be an indication.
The 42-year old model recently posted photos of her attending the famous Carnival at Rio de Janeiro, flashing her toned and beautiful torso wearing an outfit of white skinny jeans and a super-cropped top. Bundchen posted a caption to the photo “It was a joy to be back at Carnival and to celebrate this amazing festival of Brazilian tradition.’
If the pictures look like something you’ve seen before, it’s because Gisele’s dress is a return to her iconic Rio Carnival look back in 2004. And it’s the proof that she’s barely changed a single day since then. Unfair, isn’t it?
Bundchen was a regular attendee at the colorful celebrations in Brazil’s capital nearly 20 years ago. She was wearing an almost identical outfit comprising low-waist white pants and a Y2K-like strap belt and a small red crop top, and her hair that was loosely swept. In both of her outfits the top is inscribed with the word “Brahma” the country’s most loved beer.
In addition to recreating her looks from more than 20 years ago the world-renowned model was in her native country, taking in the world-renowned parade, meeting with performers and dancing along to Carnival music with friends in the wake of her divorce from her the man she’s been married to for 13 years, Tom Brady.
