Scientists have got great success in finding out the bite of cancer which is taking the form of epidemic worldwide. Britain’s Oxford University and the National Health Service claimed that a blood test named Gallery can detect 50 types of cancer growing in the body.
It is claimed that through this test, a deadly disease like cancer can be detected earlier. Treatment can be started even before this. The American pharma company Grail has made this test.
Detection Accuracy 75 Percent:
According to scientists, preliminary evidence of 323 cancers was found in the research conducted on 6238 people. Out of this, cancer has been confirmed in 244 people. Accordingly, the accuracy of this test has been estimated at 75 percent. In 85 percent of the cases, this test of blood has identified the part of the body where the cancer has spread.
Help Can be Found in Saving the Lives of Millions of People
Professor Peter Johnson, director of the NHS’s cancer department, says these trials are still in their early stages. The results have been good and it is expected that this investigation will be effective in the coming times. If the detection of cancer growing in the body becomes 100 percent in the early stages, then the lives of millions of people can be saved.
